Shaun works part-time as a research associate at the University of Bristol within the Clinical Trials Unit, as well as contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
The path towards dentistry was laid out for Shaun one fateful morning while still a teenager, after suffering a sports injury requiring advanced root canal and crown treatment on his front tooth. With first-hand experience of the impact that dental care can have on everyday life, he set upon a path to becoming a dental surgeon, beginning with work experience at Rhiwbina Dental Surgery, where he has now eventually returned. It’s safe to say that being on the receiving end of the dentist’s drill has helped shape his caring, empathetic approach to providing dental care.
